From the slopes to the thermal spa: Bad Kleinkirchheim and St. Oswald together form a ski area with over 100 kilometres of perfectly groomed slopes.
Ski shuttle at the door
The free ski shuttle bus stops right below the house and takes you to the Bad Kleinkirchheim ski area. 25 lifts and cable cars await, plus 18 km of easy, 77 km of intermediate and 8 km of difficult slopes.
Slopes with a history
From the conservatory you look out onto Kaiserburg, Strohsack and the famous Franz Klammer downhill run, where World Cup races have been held. Beginners are in the best hands at four ski schools.
Cross-country
Bad Kleinkirchheim has eight kilometres of cross-country trails – one of them runs just a few minutes’ walk from the house.
Away from the slopes
Over 2,000 hours of sunshine a year, four toboggan runs – one of them floodlit in the evening at the Kaiserburg – plus winter hiking and curling. And during the Music Week in January, the village is all about folk music.
Rent it, don’t lug it.
Skis, snowboards, cross-country equipment, snowshoes and helmets are available at Sport 2000 Rent in the village centre – about a kilometre from the house.
According to the rental shop, booking online in advance saves you up to 20 %. In the same building, the Gärtner family also runs the sports shop – for everything you forgot to pack.

Ski lessons with a guest discount.
Qualitäts-Skischule Brunner has been teaching skiing, carving and snowboarding since 2004 – just 100 metres from the Kaiserburg gondola. Group lessons for children from age three, private lessons for every level.
